Police officers get to play Santa for families in need

MILWAUKEE -- Millions of children around the world are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa to their homes. But for some families in Milwaukee, he came a little early with some help from Milwaukee police officers.

Every year, the police department selects a few families to help out during the holiday. This year, four families received a holiday dinner and presents for the kids.

The families receiving these gifts are extremely appreciative.
The officers say it's one of the reasons they do their job -- to reach out and have an impact in the community.
