Police: Man, woman in their mid-20s shot and injured in separate incidents

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say two people were injured in separate shooting incidents that occurred on Sunday, July 12th.

The first occurred shortly before 5:00 p.m. in the 3000 block of N. 25th St.

 

Police say a 27-year-old woman was shot and taken to the hospital for treatment. It is expected she will survive.

The shooting occurred as a result of a dispute.

No one is in custody.

The second shooting occurred just before 5:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of N. Buffum Street.

Police say a 26-year-old man was shot and taken to the hospital for treatment. It is believed he will survive.

No one is in custody.

Recent gun violence in Milwaukee has made national headlines. Milwaukee has seen 11 homicides since Thursday, July 2nd -- and there have been more than 20 shooting incidents in that time frame.

Including these two most recent shooting incidents, there were seven separate shootings this weekend.
