Police: Man driving motorcycle at "very high rate of speed" collides with concrete barrier

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police say a 54-year-old Jackson man was seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening, September 4th.

It happened at the 35th Street Viaduct.

Police say the man was operating a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle -- headed north on the viaduct at a "very high rate of speed" when he disregarded construction warning signs and collided with a concrete barrier.

He was taken to the hospital, suffering from serious injuries. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.

Police are investigating.
