Police: Bomb threat discovered on bathroom wall at Hartford Union High School

HARTFORD (WITI) -- Hartford police say a bomb threat was discovered at Hartford Union High School on Tuesday, September 9th.

Police say a student discovered the handwritten note on a bathroom wall at the school -- and notified faculty.

Police say the note contained threats regarding an explosive device being detonated at the school on a future date.

Hartford police responded to the school Tuesday, and are working closely with the school's staff to investigate the bomb threat.

Police say strategic security procedures are being implemented to ensure the safety of students at the school.

Police say the threat is being taken seriously.
