Police ask for help to ID man who robbed El Tianguis store

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are asking for the public to help identify an armed robbery suspect who robbed the El Tianguis store on S. Cesar E. Chavez Drive on Saturday, January 25th.

The suspect entered the store just after 7:30 p.m. and tried on several items of clothing. He then walked up to the register, displayed a handgun, and told the owner to hand over the money. The owner complied and the suspect took off with the cash and several clothing items while holding the victim at gunpoint.



The suspect is described as a male, black, around 25 years-old, 6' tall, and 160 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, medium complexion and a light mustache. He was last seen wearing a white knit skull cap, a dark gold shiny zip up coat with a hood, stone washed blue jeans, and white tennis shoes. The suspect was carrying two white plastic bags.
