Police: 20-year-old man seriously injured after being shot near 36th & Congress

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that happened around 11:35 a.m. on July 11 in the area of 36th and Congress.

Police say a 20-year-old Milwaukee man was walking when a vehicle approached and an occupant inside the vehicle shot the man.  The vehicle then fled from the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

MPD continues to search for the suspect(s) and seek the motive.
