One of four injured in shooting released from Froedtert Hospital

WAUWATOSA -- Froedtert Hospital officials said Monday evening, October 22nd one of four victims injured in the Azana Salon & Spa shooting Sunday has been released from the hospital. One victim remains in critical condition and two remain in satisfactory condition.

Those being treated at the hospital for gunshot wounds are all females, ages 22, 30, 32 and 40. FOX6 News has learned three were employees at the salon and the fourth was a customer.

Froedtert Hospital officials say a satisfactory condition status indicates a patient's vital signs are within normal limits and the patient is conscious and functioning.

Critical status describes a patient experiencing a life or limb threatening condition. Vital signs may or may not be stable.

Two of these gunshot victims underwent surgery after the shooting. One had an emergency operation Sunday afternoon and is listed in critical condition. Another had a short operation Sunday afternoon, and is listed in satisfactory condition.

A third patient is expected to have surgery later Sunday, and is listed in satisfactory condition.

A fourth patient did not require surgery and is listed in satisfactory condition.

Three were killed in the shooting, including 42-year-old Zina Haughton (the ex-wife of the shooter), 35-year-old Cary Robuck of Racine and 38-year-old Maelyn Lind of Oconomowoc.

The body of the gunman, 45-year-old Radcliffe Haughton was found inside the salon building Sunday evening. Officials had believed Haughton was on the loose following the shooting for much of the afternoon, as an IED found inside the salon building and the size of the building (9,000 square feet) hampered clearing of the building.

Froedtert and Children's hospitals were placed on lockdown for a portion of Sunday afternoon as the whereabouts of Radcliffe Haughton were unknown, and officials feared he might show up at the hospital. Froedtert officials said the lockdowns were a precautionary measure.
