OAK CREEK, Wis. - Two people were arrested after a tactical incident unfolded near 13th and College in Oak Creek Friday, Jan. 20.
In a media release, Oak Creek police said they were called to a Motel 6 for a troublesome customer around 1 p.m. The customer refused to leave and threatened to shoot employees and, later, law enforcement.
As authorities tried to communicate with the pair, police said they were "uncooperative" and continued to make shooting threats.
The building and immediate vicinity were evacuated for the public's safety. After lengthy negotiations, police said both the man and the woman were arrested without further incident. Charges will be referred to the district attorney's office.
Police said the incident was isolated. The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office and FBI assisted at the scene.
