Milwaukee police investigate aggravated battery case near Summerfest grounds

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating an aggravated battery that happened late on Friday, July 8th a couple of blocks west of Maier Festival Park.

Officials say two victims, a 28-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, got into a verbal altercation with several subjects. The 24-year-old man was punched and didn’t require medical attention at the scene. The 28-year-old man was struck in the head and suffered serious injuries.

MPD says the 28-year-old man was taken to a hospital where he is receiving medical treatment.
