Milwaukee police busy on Sunday: Three non-fatal shooting investigations underway

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating three separate shooting incidents occurring Sunday, September 28th.

The first occurred just before 12:30 p.m. near 24th and Hadley.

Police say their ShotSpotter technology alerted them to this shooting. At the scene, they located a 20-year-old Milwaukee man with a gunshot wound.

Police say the victim indicated he was walking in the area when he heard the sound of gunshots, and then realized he had been shot. Police say this victim was and continues to be uncooperative with the investigation.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to survive.



The second shooting incident occurred near 10th and Atkinson shortly after 3:30 p.m.

Police say the victim, a 19-year-old Milwaukee man, indicated he was driving in the area when he heard gunshots and realized he was shot.

Police say their investigation is in its early stages, but they say early indications are that this was not a random act.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He is expected to survive.



The third shooting happened near N. Teutonia and Finn Place just before 4:20 p.m.

Police say a 39-year-old man from West Bend was shot. The circumstances behind this shooting are unknown.

Police say the victim is being treated at the hospital for a serious injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
