Mayor Barrett talks politics during WisPolitics.com luncheon

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett talked politics Wednesday during a luncheon held by WisPolitics.com at the Wisconsin Club.

Barrett said again he hasn't made up his mind on whether he'll run in the gubernatorial recall election, but that didn't stop him from expressing hard criticism of Governor Scott Walker.

"There is a civil war going on right now in this state, and he alone started the civil war. I want the war to end. I think the people of this state want it to end. I don't think we know how this war is going to end," Mayor Barrett said.

Besides state politics, Mayor Barrett also spoke on his support of a downtown streetcar system, and losing the chance to have the Kohl's headquarters move to the Park East Corridor, among other things.
