Light snow falls across southeast Wisconsin, 1-2 inches expected
MILWAUKEE -- The first measurable snowfall of the season is here -- and officials are urging all drivers to slow down and be patient -- especially in the Friday morning rush.
So far, the streets appear to be clear. The National Weather Service says there may be a few slick spots on untreated bridges and roads.
Snowfall will be in a 1-2″ range for most areas and will accumulate mostly on grassy surfaces.
DPW officials report that they have 103 salt trucks hitting city streets on Friday. Additionally, at least 120 garbage trucks can have plows mounted on them when there is heavier snow in the forecast.
