Last minute shoppers crowd area malls and stores

All those extended holiday shopping hours are coming to a close. But up until the last minute, people were crowding into area stores and malls. While it's not the busiest day of the shopping season, crowds

At Mayfair Mall, they were open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Outside in the parking lot, empty spots were gone in seconds. Inside, what was supposed to be a quick shopping trip for some, dragged on for hours.

One (male) shopper says, "I thought we'd come in and go back out... but you know shopping with a woman (laughs)."

Stores are expected to ring up $470 billion during this holiday season. 20-percent of that comes in just the last week before Christmas.
