Kids read mean tweets to raise cyberbullying awareness

(WITI) -- Celebrities reading 'mean tweets' about themselves has proven to be hilarious. But what happens when kids do the same?

Many celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon of reading their 'mean tweets' to create funny internet videos, including President Barack Obama.

In a new video, instead of celebrities reading the insulting tweets they have gotten, kids read the 'mean tweets' that they have received and the result is very different -- and not very funny.

Posted by The Canadian Safe School Network, the video is to help spread cyberbullying awareness -- the end of the video reads: "Cyberbullying is no joke."

The YouTube video starts off pretty funny, like most of the other 'mean tweet' videos, but in the end it shows just how cyberbullying can affect anyone.
