"I'm a human radio:" Downtown Harrison puts on unique show at Summerfest

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A beautiful Sunday on the Summerfest grounds, with sunny skies and warm temperatures on Sunday, June 29th -- and Outkast headlining the Marcus Amphitheater on Sunday night. The main acts may draw the big crowds, but there's plenty of quality entertainment on the smaller stages -- including a 49-year-old performer who has more energy than a man half his age -- and he's also got some serious vocal range.

At the World's Largest Music Festival, there are hundreds of voices belting out the soundtrack of summer, and you could spend the better part of a week trying to hear them all.

Or, you could save yourself the trouble, and simply go see Downtown Harrison.

"I'm the human radio," Harrison Townsend said.

He is a charismatic character actor -- an impresario of impressions.

If you close your eyes, you may feel like you're at a dozen different concerts all at once -- not limited by genre or gender.

You'll also notice, there's no band backing him up.

For two full hours, nearly every day at Summerfest, he not only impersonates James Brown -- he may in fact be the hardest working man in show business -- bringing many voices together as one.

Downtown Harrison will be performing at JoJo's Martini Lounge at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
