Husbands at malls happy for a seat on Black Friday

Shoppers hit the stores early Friday morning, many of them eager to take advantage of the Black Friday deals - some heading out before their turkey dinner was done digesting! A few husbands, however, say they didn't have a choice. They were dragged along by their wives and children to tackle the Black Friday crowds.

Enrico Soles and Ken Johnson found a comfortable chair at Brookfield Square Mall Friday. Soles' wife, and Johnson's wife and daughters wanted to do some Christmas shopping. Johnson thought it'd be a good time for him to catch up on the news, and took a seat with a newspaper.

"It gives me an opportunity to sit down, relax, and get my mind off shopping. I leave that up to the ladies of the family," Johnson said.

Jim Antunes is another husband forced to endure the Black Friday madness. He said Friday he was just happy his wife found him a chair! "I'm suffering. I have only been here for 10 minutes, and I'm already ready to leave. I was ready to leave before I got here," Antunes said. He mentioned he can think of much better ways to spend his time! "I could be cleaning my house, and be much happier about it!"

The major malls will are open until 10:00 p.m. Friday night.
