Homicide investigation after body found near Fratney & Clarke

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating after a 49-year-old woman was found dead in an alley near Fratney and Clarke Monday morning, July 1st. Milwaukee police are calling this case a homicide, and say the woman was stabbed to death.



According to officials, a resident was backing up a vehicle when they saw the body, and immediately called 911.

Police believe the stabbing occurred at an apartment in the 2600 block of N. Pierce.



Police say one person has been taken into custody in connection with this incident.
