Five teenage boys arrested after armed robbery on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested five teenage suspects for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery on Milwaukee’s north side.

Officials say two victims, boys ages 13 and 16, were walking in the neighborhood near 40th and Nash just before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3rd. That's when they were approached by the five suspects. A gun was pointed at one of the victims while a cell phone and belt were stolen from the other victim. The suspects also struck the victims before they fled on foot.

Officers located the suspects in an alley near 44th and Locust -- and took them into custody. The gun used in the robbery and the cell phone stolen from the victim were both recovered.

The suspects are all Milwaukee boys, ages 14, 15, 16 and two were 17.

Milwaukee police will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
