Five people inside when early morning fire damages Milwaukee home

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- An early morning fire in Milwaukee damages a home near 74th and Thurston. It happened around 4:40 a.m., Saturday, October 11th.

The Milwaukee Fire Department says a minor kitchen fire cause about $10,000 worth of damage.

There were five people inside the home at the time of the fire. Everyone got out safely.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials say there was a working smoke detector inside the home.
