Fans look forward to Aaron Rodgers' return against Chicago

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- It's the word Packers fans have been waiting to hear for weeks -- Head Coach Mike McCarthy announced Thursday, December 26th that Aaron Rodgers will be the team's starting quarterback on Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

There was a collective sigh of relief, along with much excitement, after the announcement was made Thursday afternoon. Playoffs and the NFC North Division Title are on the line during the upcoming final game of the regular season.

Many fans became immediately optimistic hearing the news they'd been hoping for.

"I'm pretty excited, honestly. It's one of those suspenseful, hoping to hear he's going to come back and now it's for sure. So, it'll be exciting," said Allison Cryns.

"It's so fantastic. I mean, it's the biggest game of the year, everything rests on it, so I think everyone's happy to see that," added Jackson Cryns. "I think it's a good decision."

"It's good for my sister-in-law's boyfriend because I thought he was going to have a heart attack if he didn't come back this weekend," Orvel Thompson said.

Most fans FOX6 spoke with don't believe Rodgers' time off will be a downfall and say they're ready to start talking trash with Bears fans leading up to, and through, the game.
