Contract with St. Francis Brewing Co. should result in more beer, better bathrooms at Humboldt Park

BAY VIEW (WITI) -- An extended agreement between Milwaukee County and the St. Francis Brewing Company should result in more beer and better bathrooms at Humboldt Park in Bay View.

Milwaukee County Parks put together a five-year contract with the brewery and restaurant that will generate over $61,000 a year for the county and a minimum of $15,000 in improvements to the park pavilion.

St. Francis Brewing will direct 5% of its total Humboldt Park revenue to a maintenance fund. The brewery will pay Milwaukee County 20% of its gross revenue.

Most of the immediate improvements will be made in the bathrooms and warming area inside the pavilion.

St. Francis Brewing Company will celebrate the approval of the five-year contract with Milwaukee County on Thursday, May 28th. A free keg of its Gluttony Mai Bock will be tapped at Humboldt Park on Thursday.

Beer from Milwaukee Brewing Company and Lakefront Brewery will also be served in Humboldt Park.
