Cialis "fun pills" found on man accused of hit-and-run in Racine

RACINE (WITI) -- A Racine man accused in a hit-and-run crash in which a pedestrian was injured has been charged in the case.

23-year-old Razelle Creed of Racine has been charged with one count of felony hit and run - injury and one count of possession of an illegally obtained prescription.

A criminal complaint in the case says Racine police were dispatched on February 24th to a report of a hit-and-run crash in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

It happened near Washington Avenue and S. Memorial Drive in Racine.

Officers came upon a victim laying on the ground in the far right north lane of westbound traffic on Washington Avenue and Owen Avenue.

The complaint says officers spoke with the victim, who said she was on the southeast corner of Owen Avenue and Washington Avenue waiting for a break in traffic so she could cross Washington Avenue.

The complaint says the victim began crossing Washington Avenue, and ran across a number of lanes of traffic. She says she was in the far north lane when she was struck by a blue Ford Explorer.

The complaint says the striking vehicle did not stop.

The victim in this case sustained injuries, including a fractured left tibia and fibula that would require surgery, according to the complaint.

A witness told police after observing the hit-and-run incident, he followed the blue Explorer from the scene.

The complaint says an officer located the vehicle heading west on Washington Avenue, approaching Ohio Street.

That officer watched the vehicle switch lanes into the left turn lane and got stuck at the intersection when the traffic signal for westbound traffic turned red. The complaint says the officer watched the vehicle stop in the left turn lane, and then watched the vehicle enter the intersection against the red light -- change lanes, and then continue westbound through the intersection.

The complaint says the officer turned on his emergency lights and continued following the vehicle -- before the vehicle stopped in a parking lot on Washington Avenue.

The officer made contact with Creed, the vehicle's operator. The complaint says Creed refused to exit his vehicle, and was removed from the vehicle and placed in handcuffs by the officer.

The complaint says when speaking with Creed, the officer noted he had red and glossy eyes, his speech was slurred, and there was an odor of intoxicants coming from his person.

The complaint says there were a number of passengers in Creed's vehicle, and one of them told police Creed had struck a pedestrian, and had drove away from the crash scene without stopping.

Creed was taken to the hospital for a blood draw and subsequently taken into custody.

The complaint says when Creed was searched, officers located two Cialis pills in Creed's front pants pocket. The pills were not in a prescription bottle, nor was Creed able to produce a prescription for the pills.

When asked about what the pills were, the complaint says Creed said: "You know, fun pills."

Creed has a previous conviction of OWI (first offense) from 2011.
