In Business News for Wednesday, December 14th, Business Journal's Wendy Strong discusses the U.S. Postal Service holding off closing thousands of post offices and mail facilities nationwide until May 15th. The decision is in response to requests from lawmakers who say Congress needs to pass legislation to overhaul the cash strapped mail agency.

Also, Mercury Marine, the Fond du Lac based boat engine manufacturer says it's giving a special one time bonus to its holiday workers. Reports say bonuses will be based on length of service and average about $1,200 for those who have worked for the company for a year.
