Battle for women voters is heating up across the country

MILWAUKEE -- While Republicans rally in Florida, a group of female Democrats are traveling across the country for a rally of their own. They made a stop in Milwaukee on Wednesday, August 29th to share their message.

State Senator Mary Lazich argues the Wrong for Women Tour ignores what President Barack Obama has done.

"They want to cut medicare, cut medicaid, cut pell grants, these are all programs that women disproportionately depend upon for retirement security," said Lazich.

The fight for the female vote is just beginning. You can be sure with less than 70 days until election day, both sides will only increase their efforts.

A Massachusetts state senator was also part of Wednesday's event. She's calling for women across the country to look at Mitt Romney's record as governor. Of course, Republicans are saying the same thing.
