Argument leads to gunfire; man critically wounded on Milwaukee's south side

MILWAUKEE -- A 39-year-old man was shot and wounded during an incident that happened in a neighborhood just west of 27th and Morgan on Milwaukee's south side late Saturday, October 1st.

Police say family and friends gathered to host a celebration on W. Ruskin Ct. During that celebration, the suspect began to argue with several people at the event. Some time around 10:00 p.m., the suspect armed himself with a gun and shot the victim multiple times.

The victim was treated on the scene -- and taken to a hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department. He was listed in critical condition.

Milwaukee police are seeking a known suspect.
