"All cops are not bad:" Post on social media, showing officer dancing with kids goes viral

JOHNSON CITY, New York -- A post on social media, showing a group of kids teaching a police officer some dance moves has gone viral.

"All cops are not bad," seven-year-old Anysha Sauvere said.

Sauvere was out in front of her grandmother's home two weeks ago when she, her cousins and her sister spotted Officer Crandall, a Johnson City Police Department patrolman with the K-9 unit.

They began asking him questions about his dog and his uniform.

What happened next has been shared on social media across Johnson City, New York -- and beyond.

"We was dancing and we were showing him new dances. We showed him how to 'hit the quan.' We teached him new dances and we did 'the whip' and 'nae-nae,'" Sauvere said.

The photo was then shared on Facebook -- where it has received thousands of likes and hundreds of shares.

"I didn't know we would be whipping and nae-naeing, as they say. I am not up to the dance moves standards I guess -- but I figured we would have a good time. The kids were all very happy and positive toward me," Nicholas Crandall said.

Sauvere's mom, Jennifer Brower credits the children for starting the conversation.

"He stuck around for a little bit and the kids were out here and they saw him. And when the kids see the cops, they don't think anything negative or nothing and then they started dancing with the cop and I thought it was cute so I took a picture of the kids," Brower said.

The girls said they're looking forward to seeing Officer Crandall again soon. They say his next lesson will involve learning how to do a cartwheel.
