A drink, a marble -- and potentially, a scam: MPD investigates incident at bar, caught on camera

MILWAUKEE -- A drink, a marble -- and potentially, a scam. Milwaukee police are investigating an incident that occurred over the weekend at "Lucky Ginger" on N. Water Street.

Milwaukee police have confirmed for FOX6 they are investigating, and "attempting to determine what role the patrons in the restaurant played in the incident, as well as their relationship to each other."

The incident was captured by Lucky Ginger's surveillance cameras.

The video was posted to Facebook by a co-owner of Lucky Ginger, who said three customers became upset after they found a marble in their drink. One woman said she nearly choked on it.

The video shows a woman placing what appears to be a marble into the glass of a woman seated next to her.

The Lucky Ginger co-owner who shared the video didn't want to be identified, but said he wanted to share the video so that other business owners know what to watch out for.

The bar's co-owner offered the woman half off her bill -- but that was before he saw the surveillance video.

The Milwaukee Police Department is now investigating.

What we don't know at this point is whether the woman who had the marble in her drink knew it was there.
