29th & Concordia: As vigil held for victim of 105th homicide, police called out for shots fired

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man, identified as 24-year-old Mickey Davis, in the neighborhood near 29th and Concordia -- on the city's northwest side.

Officials say Davis was shot in the street on Wednesday afternoon, September 2nd during circumstances that remain unclear. Officials tell FOX6 News there was a vehicle involved in this incident -- but witness statements conflict on the type of vehicle involved.

Police are seeking a motive in this case -- and there are no suspects in custody.

This is Milwaukee's 105th homicide this year.

A vigil was held for the victim of this homicide on Wednesday night, and police say they took at least two calls for shots fired in the area.

Police responded to the area, and said no injuries have been reported, and no one has been struck by gunfire in the area.

Casings were recovered in the area.
