2 shot, injured in separate shooting incidents in Milwaukee; suspects sought

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two separate shooting incidents that occurred late Thursday night, September 8th and early Friday morning, September 9th.

The first shooting occurred around 11:00 p.m.  near 51st and Hampton.

Police say a 34-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle when two suspects approached and fired multiple gunshots into the vehicle -- striking the victim at least once.

Milwaukee Fire Department provided medical care for the victim, then conveyed him to a local hospital where he is being treated for a non-life threatening gunshot injury.

Around 12:10 a.m. police were called out to a second shooting in the area of Burleigh and Palmer.

When officers arrived on scene they found a 32-year-old man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot injury. The initial investigation reveals that the suspect knocked at the victim’s residential door. When the victim opened the door, the suspect shot the victim and fled the scene.

MFD treated the victim on the scene and transported him to a local hospital.

Milwaukee police are seeking suspects.
