114th homicide this year: Man shot, killed near 24th & Chambers; one in custody

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened at about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 27th near 24th and Chambers.

The victim, 33-year-old Timothy Robinson was shot by a 36-year-old Milwaukee man during an altercation.  Robinson was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The suspect remained at the scene and was taken into custody.

A charging decision will be made by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.

Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn said on Monday, September 28th the city of Milwaukee has seen 114 homicides this year -- compared with 86 during all of 2014.
