1 dead in Milwaukee fire near 61st and Stark

One person died in a fire in Milwaukee near 61st and Stark Tuesday night.

MILWAUKEE - One person died in a fire in Milwaukee near 61st and Stark Tuesday night, Nov. 15. Milwaukee police and firefighters responded around 7 p.m.

Upon arrival, they located the victim, a 68-year-old Milwaukee man, inside the residence. His wife was able to get out and was not injured.

Neighbors said they saw smoke coming from the windows.

The cause is under investigation, however, it does not appear to be suspicious.
