Police investigate fatal moped crash near Potawatomi; 40-year-old Oak Creek man killed

MILWAUKEE -- A 40-year-old Oak Creek man operating a moped was killed in a crash that happened near Potawatomi Hotel and Casino Saturday afternoon, July 15th.Police say it happened around 3:30 p.m. near 25th and Canal.The Oak Creek man, identified as Jason White, died at the scene after striking another moped at approximately 30 miles-per-hour.The medical examiner's report indicates White was traveling in a group of approximately 20 mopeds when "another bike's right mirror hit the decedent's bike on the left hand side and they both lost control and went down." White was not wearing a helmet.The other individual involved in this incident was not seriously hurt.
