63-year-old man suffers medical emergency, dies in collision between car, semi

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police it appears a 63-year-old man who died after a collision between his car and a semi had a medical emergency prior to the wreck.The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 11th near the intersection of 35th and Highland in Milwaukee.Officials say the medical emergency is what caused the man's death.Witnesses told police they saw the man pass out at the wheel of his car prior to the crash, which was caused when the man’s vehicle hit the back of the semi-trailer.The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the man’s death.The driver of the semi-trailer was not hurt in the accident, and was also not cited or arrested.Both the driver of the car and the driver of the semi-trailer were the only people involved in the accident.
