Packers and Humana team up to build playground in De Pere

GREEN BAY -- The Green Bay Packers and Humana are teaming up for a good cause. Tuesday, September 4th players and associates helped build a playground at Southwest Park in De Pere.

Players Marshall Newhouse, T.J. Lang, James Jones and Jerel Worthy were on hand to help out. They say they were glad for the opportunity to provide a helping hand.

"It's a chance to just do something good in your community and you know, just impact lives. It's all about children and giving back," Worthy said.

"Anything I can do, I try to do. I'm not doing nothing. I mean, sitting here in Green Bay, just hanging. My little son is asleep, so I thought I'd come out and help build a playground. He'll probably play on it one day," Jones said.

The concrete for the play area was donated by Green Bay's Green and Gold Concrete.
