Wisconsin's most popular baby name "Emma" replaced with...

MADISON — Move over, Emma. There's a new most popular baby name in Wisconsin.

After two years as the most popular name for girls, Emma has been replaced by Olivia as the top choice for new parents. The state Department of Health Services reported the annual baby name data on Thursday.

After a one-year absence from the top of the list for boys, Mason once again reigns supreme.

Mason had been most popular between 2010 through 2012, but in 2013 dropped to second place behind Liam.

In 2014, Mason was tops followed by Liam and then William.

For girls it was Olivia, Emma then Ava. Olivia had been the top pick in both 2009 and 2010.

The data comes from birth certificates issued statewide.
