Whitefish Bay police working to determine whether individuals arrested on East Side responsible for carjacking
WHITEFISH BAY -- Whitefish Bay police confirm a carjacking occurred on Friday evening, October 16th -- and police are now looking to determine whether several people arrested on Milwaukee's East Side one day later are connected to this carjacking incident.
The carjacking happened shortly before 8:00 p.m. near the intersection of Larkin Street and Glendale Avenue in Whitefish Bay.
Police say two men approached the victim on foot and demanded his wallet. These men appeared to have something that looked like a handgun.
The victim gave up his vehicle -- which police recovered a short time later near Wilson Drive and Congress Street in Shorewood.
On Saturday, October 17th, several people were arrested by Milwaukee police on the city's East Side for an auto theft.
Now, Whitefish Bay police are working to determine if these individuals are in any way responsible for the carjacking that occurred in Whitefish Bay.
We're told Whitefish Bay police are doing extra patrols as a result of the carjacking.
