"What will come next?" Parents discuss decision to cancel Nicolet High School football

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Parents and students met today at Nicolet High School to discuss "what will come next," on the decision made yesterday that the school will not have a varsity football team for the upcoming season.

The school says it is due to low student participation.  There will still be a junior varsity and freshman team this season for the school.

FOX6 News spoke with some of the parents after the meeting and they said they were upset with the situation -- but understand the need for it.

School officials say: It's still trying to make arrangements for senior athletes to play this season.
