Milwaukee County sheriff's deputies arrested a man who had multiple open warrants after a crash in West Allis on Friday, Feb. 7.

What they're saying:

A 24-year-old woman initially called 911 to report the man had assaulted her and was threatening to kill her. Deputies later found the suspect's vehicle near the victim's home. The suspect fled, but crashed into a tree a short time later.

West Allis sexual assault near 70th and National, suspect arrested

The West Allis Police Department asked for the public's help to identify and locate a suspect wanted for a recent sexual assault.

The sheriff's office said the suspect tried to run, but a deputy and K-9 found him hiding under a trampoline near 103rd and Manitoba in West Allis. He was then taken into custody.

The man had multiple open warrants, according to the sheriff's office, including with the Milwaukee Police Department for felony assault. MCSO also said it plans to file charges for what took place Friday.
