WATCH: Rescued sea lions returned to Pacific Ocean

SAN DIEGO -- A group of sea lions who, as recently as January, were malnourished are back in the Pacific Ocean.

The pups were discovered in December and January on various San Diego beaches. SeaWorld San Diego's animal health and rescue center rehabilitated the pups.

The sea lions were able to double their weight and return to the ocean Thursday, Jan. 30.
