Wangard Partners Inc. pursuing plans to purchase former Laacke & Joys building

BROOKFIELD -- An empty building in the Park East corridor could soon get a new owner.

Wangard Partners Incorporated is pursuing plans to buy the former Laacke & Joys building.

It plans to convert the building into offices.

It may also develop a larger new building to the north with up to 200,000 square feet.

The property is currently owned by the Peck family.

It was considered as a potential site for the Harmony Initiative Arts and Wellness Project, but that project is no longer active.
