United Way launches ads with strong message to parents of teens

MILWAUKEE -- United Way of Greater Milwaukee launched a new “Teen Baby” campaign on Wednesday, October 3rd. Its mission is to deliver a strong message to parents of teen and pre-teen children – talk to your kids about healthy relationships before it’s too late.

The powerful ads depict teens in a high chair, stroller and car seat, with the message: “Your baby’s not a baby anymore. Talk to your teen about sex.”

The goal of the campaign is to get parents to talk to their kids about healthy relationships.  The best lessons for teens to learn about sex and healthy relationships come from their parents.

The ads were created in collaboration with Serve Marketing in Milwaukee.

The ads, in both English and Spanish, are being placed in bus shelters throughout the city beginning the first week of October in support of Let’s Talk Month. It’s the latest tactic in the United Way-led Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative.
