Toddler buys car on eBay with her father's smartphone

(CNN) -- A 14-month-old toddler in Portland, Oregon bought a new set of wheels on her father's smartphone using an eBay app.

Her parents were shocked when they received a notice from eBay, congratulating them on their purchase of a gently used 1962 Austin Healy Sprite for just over $200.

Although her parents were surprised, they were  happy she didn't spend too much money on her first car.

"I'm just glad she didn't buy the $38,000 Porsche I was also looking at, " Paul Stoute, the girl's father said.

Dad says he might fix it up to give to his daughter for graduation or his sixteenth birthday
