Surveillance video released from night club incident involving MU players

MILWAUKEE -- Surveillance video from the night six Marquette University basketball players were ticketed for being in a club underage has been released.

According to a police report, "30 individuals from a party" were fighting with "members of the Marquette University basketball team" that night, January 29th. Citations were issued to the Marquette players for being at the club underage, but no charges were ever issued for the fight itself.

In the video you can see part of the fight that took place. One man told FOX6 News he was hit in the eye.

In the video, a man is seen leaving Apartment 720 before bouncers escort several people out, and that's when things really get out of hand. The man later doubles back, and tries to return. At that point, bouncers remove people from the club, and a man lays in front of the door, apparently injured.

Marquette University released the following statement about the videos release:

"As we have said previously, we investigated this situation thoroughly at the time it occurred and cooperated fully with the Milwaukee Police Department on its investigation, which resulted in the six underage citations and no additional citations. We also referred the players involved to the University’s Student Conduct System, as would be the case for any Marquette student. Individuals were disciplined as appropriate for violating team, university and departmental rules."
