Skate rentals are free at Milwaukee's Slice of Ice on Wednesday

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee County Parks invites the public to “Appreciation Day for Park Patrons” at Slice of Ice in Red Arrow Park on Wednesday, February 12th, beginning at 2 p.m.

This winter season, nearly 30,000 skaters enjoyed the large refrigerated rink in downtown Milwaukee. To show appreciation for this overwhelming community support, the Parks Department is offering free skate rentals from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. In addition, parks staff will be giving away free Pepsi products.

Hours of operation through the end of the season are Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. with skate rentals beginning at 2 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, skate rentals are available from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and on Sundays, rentals are available 11 a.m. -6 p.m. Patrons who bring their own skates, always skate for FREE.
