Powerball winners share the wealth with co-worker

PLANTATION, Florida (WITI) -- An office pool at Keller Williams Realty in south Florida hit the jackpot. Now, the Powerball winners who hauled in a million bucks are "spreading the wealth."

A dozen employees gave $20 each to play the lottery. But one co-worker, Jennifer Maldanado, had just started at the business and passed on the chance -- hoping to save her money. When the group found out it won, the members decided they couldn't leave the Maldanado out of the fun.

Each of the winning employees will take home $83,000 after taxes. And each of them has agreed to give a portion of their winnings to Maldanado (although nobody's saying how much that is).

Word of the group's generosity has spread worldwide -- and with good reason.
