Police release names of those killed in weekend homicides
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police on Monday, August 5th released the names of three people killed in weekend violent incidents.
Police say the victim of the homicide that happened in the 600 block of W. North Avenue at about 2:20 a.m. on August 3rd is identified as 27-year-old Dominic Baker of Milwaukee. Baker died at the scene after he was shot during an argument outside of a tavern. There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
The victim of the homicide that happened in the 1300 block of W. Cleveland at about 12:40 a.m. on August 4th is identified as 23-year-old Samuel Soto of Milwaukee. Soto died at the scene after he was shot during what is believed to be a gang dispute. One suspect is in custody.
The victim of the homicide that happened in the 3600 block of N. 11th Street at about 11:30 p.m. on August 4th is identified as 38-year-old Darvin Trigg of Milwaukee. Trigg died at the scene of blunt force trauma to the head that he sustained during an argument. Police are seeking a known suspect.
