Police arrest three after armed robbery on N. 41st Street
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police have announced the arrest of three individuals in connection with the armed robbery that occurred in the 4700 block of N. 41st Street on August 17th.
Two MPD officers were responding to another call for service when they came upon the robbery in progress.
The suspects fled on foot upon seeing the officers.
Police say two of the suspects were arrested after a short foot pursuit, and a third suspect was later found. The officers also recovered a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson pistol that the suspects discarded while running from the officers.
An investigation revealed that the suspects took purses from two 22-year-old women, one from Milwaukee and one from Madison, as they were seated in a car.
Charges have been issued against the three suspects, and police are seeking a fourth known suspect.
The suspects include: 17-year-old Vernell Homles, 18-year-old Alonzo Thomas, and 18-year-old Kevontae Gibbs.
