Packers ticket prices slashed for Sunday's game against Falcons

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Ticket brokers started slashing prices on Packers tickets on Monday after fans started showing less interest.

Factors such as player injuries and freezing cold temperatures are affecting the prices.

John Schmidt of Schmitty's Tickets says most of the calls he's gotten this week have been from sellers rather than buyers.

Some tickets with a face value of $97 are now selling for as little as $30.

"This is very rare," said Schmidt. "Only pre-season you see them go this low, but I think it's going to be kind of the norm with the 7,500 extra seats up there."

A Packers spokesman says the Atlanta Falcons also returned several hundred of their allotted tickets for the game. NFL policy says those tickets can not be sold for less than face value.

Kickoff for Sunday's game is at noon. You can watch the Packers take on the Falcons right here on FOX6.
