One-of-a-kind Milwaukee: Collectors get a chance to display their vintage items

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Turning collectors into curators -- that's what happened inside the Milwaukee Public Museum on Saturday, November 8th.

People put their collecting on display for the Collector's Day.

All sorts of stuff was there for people to check out, including troll dolls, antique playing cards, and historical bicycles.

The event gave people of all ages and generations the chance to talk about their personal collections.

"It's different every year. It's a really awesome opportunity for people to share their passions, you know with people and to bring those collections out that sometimes we keep in our shoe-boxes under our bed," said Dawn Scher Thomae, Collector Day Organizer.

Organizers say the event has been growing. It takes place each year in the fall.
