Murder-suicide investigation at Cameo Care Center at 27th, Ramsey

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police on Monday evening, August 19th were investigating a shooting at the Cameo Care Center, just north of 27th and Ramsey. FOX6 News later learned this incident was a murder suicide.

Police say a 56-year-old Allen Silva and a 59-year-old Debbie Tyszko were killed in the incident, which occurred at the Cameo Care Center.

Police believe Silva entered the building and shot and killed Tyszko, before turning the gun on himself.

The shooting was called in around 5:00 p.m.

Police say there was some sort of relationship between the man and the woman involved, but haven't yet specified that.

Family members of those who live at the Cameo Care Center showed up to the scene Monday evening nervous about the well being of their loved ones.

“I usually come here every day about 6, 6:30 to see my dad. And I see all the cops here, fire department and then I hear there was a shooting. So I’m wondering if my dad’s okay," Darrell Dzierzewski said.

Via it's website, Cameo Care Center is a 112 bed skilled and rehabilitation nursing facility with a 23 bed assisted living facility, Cameo Court. Cameo Court is where Monday's murder-suicide occurred.
